Until
1987, Superior was just a sleepy little settlement with
echoes of grander days gone by, separated from Louisville only by the
turnpike between Denver and Boulder. Richmond Homes acquired hundreds
of acres on the east and south sides, and now the Town of Superior,
more particularly “Rock Creek”, fills the skyline between
Broomfield and Boulder. The growth was phenomenal - during the 1990s,
Superior was the 4th fastest growing town in the nation. And even though
Superior offers a myriad of homes - townhomes, condos, affordable and
semi-custom and custom homes, over 40% of Superior’s seven square
mile area is dedicated as open space.
